Queensland

Queensland is a state jam packed with everything that travellers could hope to see and do. It is called the Sunshine State for a reason and that is because there is over 300 days of sun each year. The weather is sub tropical which is conducive to the outdoor activities on offer.

This state is big, the second largest in the country, so don’t expect to see it all in a couple of days. The main population is along the east coast with the central hub of Brisbane, the states capital, in the south-east corner. There are over 220 National parks, 7400km of coastline and the Great Barrier Reef stretching for 2000km, it is a state of contrast. The green coastal fringe gives way to a dry arid centre which in its own right has a raw beauty.
