Itchy Feet is an Australian based website that provides travel advice and articles for backpacker travellers.
This site was started in 1999 where there was a need for information about accommodation options for backpackers. The main concept back then was to provide listings of hostels throughout Australia. This was pretty successful at the time as there were limited websites that provided this type of information, but things change and websites such as HostelWorld developed a great booking engine were live booking could be made to hundreds of hostels throughout the world. So we continued to list hostels but we got on board with the live booking idea and now you can book hostels on line with us. We also thought it would be a good idea to still provide articles on places that travellers may visits. These articles are not definative but they will give anyone a bit of an idea of what to expect when they get to a new destination.
Itchy feet is a free travel directory which is supported by advertising. We are not a travel agent.
